1. About Newsfolio
Newsfolio is a personalised stock news feed application that aggregates financial news and data to help users stay informed about companies in their portfolio. The service includes portfolio tracking, AI-powered news summaries, and a social feed for discussing market news.
Folio AI: Newsfolio's AI features are powered by Folio AI, which uses third-party artificial intelligence services. All AI-generated content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial advice. AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. Always conduct your own research before making investment decisions.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Newsfolio. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should have your parent or guardian's permission.
3. Your account
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your account credentials secure and not sharing them with others.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Providing accurate information when creating your account.
- Notifying us immediately at contact@newsfolio.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Not financial advice
Important: Newsfolio is an information and news aggregation service only. Nothing on Newsfolio constitutes financial, investment, or trading advice. Always do your own research and consult a qualified financial adviser before making investment decisions.
The news, data, AI summaries, portfolio valuations, and any other content on Newsfolio are provided for informational purposes only. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information on the platform. Market data may be delayed.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Newsfolio to:
- Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, or offensive.
- Spread misinformation or deliberately misleading financial information.
- Impersonate any person or entity.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts.
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the platform without permission.
- Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the service.
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules, without prior notice.
6. User content
You retain ownership of any posts, comments, or other content you create on Newsfolio. By posting content, you grant Newsfolio a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that content within the platform.
You are solely responsible for the content you post. We do not endorse any user-generated content and are not liable for it.
7. Intellectual property
The Newsfolio name, logo, design, and all platform-created content are owned by Newsfolio. You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any part of the platform without written permission.
Third-party news content is provided under fair use / RSS distribution rights and remains the property of respective publishers.
8. Service availability
We aim to keep Newsfolio available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses arising from service downtime.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by English law, Newsfolio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to investment losses, data loss, or loss of profits.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or £10 if you have not paid us anything).
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via a notice in the app. Continued use of Newsfolio after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using Newsfolio and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. Upon termination, your right to access the service ceases immediately.
